Story: Sivaram (Prince) works as a lecturer in a college who enjoys life with the wealth acquired by his ancestors. Vedha (Neha Krishnan) falls in love with him after seeing the quality of being selfless and helping someone in danger and confronts the elders and marries him. But he lost all his property due to some fraud. Finally he goes into depression and tries to commit suicide. How did Shivaram get his property? What were the problems faced by Sivaram after he went from being a wealthy man to a beggar? Why did Veda, who loved and married, leave her? What were the difficulties faced by Shiv Ram to commit suicide? Did Shivaram really commit suicide? What happened after the suicide? Why did Kali confront Shivaram? How did Shivaram survive Kalikalam? What was the game played between Shivaram and Kali? If you want to know other things, you have to watch the movie.
Story… Narrative Analysis: Suicide is not the solution when faced with problems in life. Nothing happens because of death. He wrote the story with a good point in terms of what is the condition of those who believe in us if we leave life halfway. But even though it took some time to get into the story in the first half, the drama and emotions between Kali and Shivaram in the second half were amazing. Although this film is an experimental film, it is a reflection of the talent of the director to try to convey emotions well. A game which is mainly a drama would have been better if it had added more emotions.
The entire movie Kali is a movie with two characters. The way Prince and Naresh Agastya lead the film with their characters is impressive. Especially in the second half, both of them played competitively. The dialogues written for those characters are very good. Both of them acted in their roles. All the others seemed okay as far as their roles were concerned.
The technical aspects of the movie Kali are strong. Graphics and VFX elements make the movie rich. Jeevan Babu’s background score is the highlight of the movie. The film is racy as the approach followed by editor Vijay Cutts is good. Nishant Kothari and Ramana Jagger’s cinematography elevates the scenes further. The production values followed by Leelagautham Varma under Rudra Creations banner are top class. I felt that if the story had been worked on more, the movie would have definitely been a good thriller.
A movie with a good message about how suicide affects lives. Cinema is different from regular and routine stuff. Experimentally, people who like different movies are more likely to like this movie. Actors performance, technical aspects give good feeling. Regular Audience is a good choice to do at the theater this week. If you go without expectations, you will feel that you have seen a different movie. Go and watch it.
