Everyone knows that Sampoornesh Babu is a typical comedy even if there is no story. However, in Sodhara promotions, he promoted that this is not his type of comedy film but will have a story and emotion.Sampoornesh Babu, Sanjosh, Prachi Bansal, and Aarti Gupta are the lead actors in the film ‘Sodara’. The film is directed by Man Mohan Menampally and produced by Chandra Chaganla under the banner of Can Entertainments. Sodara is releasing in theaters today, April 25.
As for the story… Chiranjeevi (Sampoonesh Babu) and Pawan (Sanjosh) are brothers in a village in Telangana. Chiranjeevi runs the family soda business. Both brothers love each other very much. Chiranjeevi is worried that despite his age, he is not getting married and that all the relationships he has had are fading away. At such a time, the family of Divi (Aarthi Gupta) comes to Chiranjeevi’s face. Seeing Divi, both the brothers like her and try to get rid of her. Chiranjeevi sends Pawan to study in another village to get rid of his younger brother.
Chiranjeevi’s love is rejected by Divi. In college, Pawan falls in love with Bhuvi (Prachi Bansal). When Pawan comes home during the college holidays, he finds out that his older brother has been rejected by Divi, so he provokes his older brother and makes him go to their house in the middle of the night. This leads to a big fight between the two families and Divi’s family leaves the house. This angers Chiranjeevi’s younger brother Pawan. Will Chiranjeevi get married? Will Divi return? What happened to Pawan – Bhuvi’s love? To know if the brothers will meet again, we have to watch it on screen..
Movie Analysis.. Everyone knows that Sampoornesh Babu is a typical comedy even if there is no story. However, in the promotions of the brothers, they have promoted that this is not his type of comedy films but that it will have a story and emotion. In the first half, they show a love story about Chiranjeevi, Pawan, their families in college, and Chiranjeevi’s divi’s backtracking. Even though they tried comedy in the first half, it did not work out that well. The college scenes were stretched out well. It would have been better if the college scenes and Pawan’s love story were written better.
They give a thrilling twist to the interval and increase the interest in what will happen next. With that twist, the story of the film gets into the groove. The second half is a comedy on one side, love on the other side, brothers’ emotion, they have worked out well. The second half is a good laugh. They end it interestingly by giving twists again in the climax. They tried to make the entire film realistic in the backdrop of Telangana. The comedy is well-executed, but it would have been better if the emotions of the brothers had been developed more.
Actors’ performance.. Sampoornesh Babu tried to act in a regular role other than his type of comedy, but the influence of his films is visible here and there. Sanjosh was well set as a genuine Telangana boy. Aarti Gupta looked stylish in a saree and impressed. Prachi Bansal looked cute and stylish and impressed with her acting. Babu Mohan entertained for a while in a comedy role after many years. Getup Srinu tried to make people laugh here and there. Even if Baba Bhaskar’s role is not there, it is the same. The rest of the actors did not seem to mind in their roles.
Technical aspects.. Cinematography and visuals are good. The village locations throughout the film are well shown. It would have been better if the dubbing was even better. For some people, the dubbing and Telangana slang were not a workout. It would have been better if some scenes in the first half were reduced in editing. The background music seems okay. The songs seem okay. The director has made a good film even though it is his first film. In terms of production, he has spent enough money on the film.
Overall, the film ‘Sodara’ has been made as a comedy-emotional story with an interesting story about the relationship between brothers and a Telangana
