The period action movie Thangalaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram, hit theaters on August 15th and has achieved blockbuster success. Produced by director Pa Ranjith and renowned producer KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green Films in association with Neelam Productions, the film features Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan as the lead actresses. The success meet for Thangalaan was organized in Hyderabad. During the event:

Lyricist Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar said, “I felt that if I hadn’t written a song for Thangalaan, I would have missed out on something significant. Pa Ranjith is a powerful voice for the weaker sections, and Chiyaan Vikram is an exceptional actor who can adapt to any role. It was a pleasure to write a song for such a great film alongside a talented team like GV Prakash Kumar.”

Producer Dhanunjayan commented, “Thangalaan has achieved great success with the Telugu audience. The collections have exceeded our expectations. Thanks to your support, we organized a successful meet in Telugu before Chennai. The entire team worked hard to make Thangalaan, and we appreciate the Telugu audience and media for their support.”

Producer Madhura Sreedhar Reddy said, “Watching Thangalaan moved me deeply. Pa Ranjith made a tremendous effort, depicting the struggle of previous generations for freedom. It takes immense courage for a producer to back a film like this, and I admire my brother Gnanavel Raja’s bravery. The collections are very good, and even with Varalakshmi Vrat today, the matinee shows are packed. Thangalaan has been well received, and we plan to promote the film until the 28th of this month to reach even more viewers. Thanks for the support, Vikram garu.”

Writer Rakendu Mouli stated, “Thangalaan was released amidst strong competition, but it has proven that a good film will always be appreciated by the audience. We are pleased that our pre-release promises about the film’s impact have come true.”

Music director GV Prakash Kumar said, “Thank you to all the Telugu audience for supporting Thangalaan. You’ve made it feel like your own story and contributed to its success. Thanks to director Pa Ranjith and producer Gnanavel for giving me the opportunity to compose music for such a great film. I appreciate my entire music team. Watch Thangalaan in theaters—we will also be watching it with you.”

Heroine Malavika Mohanan said: “The Telugu audience has given Thangalaan great success. My friends here speak highly of our film. Such success is possible because of our amazing team. I want to thank Mr. Ranjith, Gnanavel, and Vikram. I am thrilled to have had the chance to portray Aarti in this movie. Appreciation is also coming in for GV Prakash Kumar’s music. When I saw the movie in the theater, I realized how much his music elevated our characters. Thanks to my personal team for the makeover I received for the role of Aarti. Regarding my role in Prabhas’ movie Raja Saab, it seems that success has followed me there as well.”

Producer KE Gnanavel Raja said: “Media friends have once again proven that they always support good movies like Thangalaan. The Telugu audience has given our film, released amidst strong competition, significant success. I want to thank them for their support, even after the release of Telugu straight movies. All our distributors have been very supportive in securing theaters for our film, and more screens are being added. My friend Mathura Sridhar handled all the pressure, and he is very happy with the film’s openings. Dhanunjayan garu has also worked hard for the film. Although I did not visit the sets often, the making videos showed me how hard Vikram worked on this film, which greatly increased my respect for him. Directors fill the pen with ink and write stories, but our director Pa Ranjith writes stories filled with passion. He never compromises on filmmaking. Thanks to Pa Ranjith for giving us an epic movie. GV Prakash Kumar truly made the film his own with his music. I hope he receives National and Oscar Awards. Every artist, whether big or small, worked hard on this film. Thanks to all of them.”

Director Pa. Ranjith said: “Thangalaan is being well received by the Telugu audience. I’ve read the reviews and listened to the feedback, and everyone is very pleased. Thangalaan has sparked a lot of discussion. Before the film began, I heard rumors about Vikram, but when he arrived on the first day of shooting and transformed into the character, I realized that all the rumors were completely false. Chiyaan Vikram is a great actor. He performs as directed, and his acting made me feel a greater responsibility to create a better film. Malavika performed exceptionally well as Aarti, and her energy enhanced the character. Every artist gave their all. I cannot express enough gratitude for the support from my friend Gnanavel Raja, who has a deep passion for filmmaking. That’s why Thangalaan was released as expected despite the pressures. GV Prakash Kumar’s music has become a cornerstone of our film’s success. Thanks to all my writers and the rest of the team.”

Hero Chiyaan Vikram said: “Producer Madhura Sreedhar, writers Rakendu Mouli, Bhaskarabhatla, and everyone—your heartfelt praise for Thangalaan mirrors the affection you have for your own films. Your deep appreciation for the movie is evident in how passionately you speak about it. I also want to thank RCM Raju for dubbing my character. Watching your response videos makes me want to see the film again and again. I’m so happy. I told Pa Ranjith and Gnanavel before the release of Thangalaan that it would be well received by the Telugu audience because it tells the story of ordinary people. Content-driven films like this are sure to resonate with the Telugu audience. When I made Sivaputrudu, there were doubts about its appeal in Telugu, but it turned out to be a big hit. As I anticipated, Thangalaan is loved across both Telugu states. I’m grateful to director Pa Ranjith for creating such a special movie with me. Pa Ranjith had immense faith in me, which made this film possible. We all believe that Thangalaan deserves a sequel, and we plan to make many more. Thangalaan has been a huge hit for producer Gnanavel, and I’m confident that his next film, Kanguva, will break records. I hope his other upcoming projects also achieve great success. During my promotional tour in the Telugu states, the audience mentioned they had seen all my films, including those released on OTT platforms, which was very gratifying. Malavika delivered a remarkable performance as Aarti. GV Prakash Kumar’s contributions to the film have been exceptional, and his music has been widely praised. It’s been an amazing journey for him as a hero, producer, and music director. I heard two pieces of great news today: Thangalaan is doing well at the box office, and Ponniyin Selvan has won four national awards. These two achievements bring me immense joy.”
