Story:
Son of India is a Telugu movie starring Dr. M. Mohan Babu, Srikanth, Pragya Jaiswal, Tanikella Bharani, Vijaya Krishna Naresh in prominent roles. Inspired by the true events from the Telugu states. The film is directed by Diamond Ratnababu and produced by Vishnu Manchu under the banner of Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and 24 Frames Factory. Kadiyam Babji aka Virupaksha (Mohan Babu) is kidnaps people from various professions. Ira (Pragya Jaiswal) is an Intelligence officer who takes charge to trace Virupaksha. Why is Kadiyam Babji doing the kidnaps? Did Ira catch him? What happens in the end? Forms the film’s story.

Performances:
It’s been a long time since we saw Mohan Babu as the main character on the big screen. His personality is good, but his acting in some scenes is extraordinary. However, the delivery of the familiar dialogue was flawless as usual. Pragya Jaiswal gets a meaty character and she fails with bad writing. Her glamour also did not help the film. Meena, Srikanth and Naresh are wasted with their less prominent characters. Comedians like Ali, Venela Kishor, Sunil and Bandla Ganesh couldn’t evoke any laughs at the theater.

Technical aspects:
Director Diamond Ratna Babu also wrote the screenplay for the film. He had a great idea but his great performance in executing the same has helped the whole film. Better writing in the film will appeal to the audiences and the film is like a well-utilized opportunity with a good story in hand. Ilaiyaraja music is great. Sometimes we feel that the song and the background score are very much engaging. The score elevated the film. Sarvesh Murari’s cinematography is superb. The production value of the film is great. On the big screen, it looks like a grand product. Even though the film is less duration, it engages us well.

Plus Points:
Mohan Babu
Crispy Runtime
Technical Aspects
Camera Work

Minus Points:
Few Lags

Review:
Basically, The Son of India is a wary action drama that deals with the story of his father’s revenge. Later, this film tries to tell a bigger problem. First, everyone wonders what the motive behind all the kidnappings is. The reason will be revealed later in an episode. Creators can show episodes more effectively afterward to make an impact. But they did a great job in making the film the best. The film’s screenplay flow and narrative structures are damn good. Also, the creators tried to experiment a bit and only featured Mohan Babu and no one else for most of the film. This experiment proved to be successful. Overall, Son of India is a well-made movie in the limitations they had.

Punch Line: Son of India impresses big time!
