Story:
The entire story of the movie Rahasam Idham Jagat takes place in America. Akira (Sravanti) thinks of shifting to India for her mother as her father dies in India. Her boyfriend Abhi (Rakesh) also insists on going to India for Akira. Before leaving, he wants to throw a party for all his friends. Along with friends Kalyan and Aru, Akira’s ex-boyfriend Vishwa also comes. The hotel they booked closes due to snow. So I have to stay there in an empty house for the night. Aru is a scientist among those friends. She is doing research on multi universe. This brings up the topic of universe among friends. In this sequence, Abhi and Vishwa fight for Akira. At the same time Vishwa takes a terrible drug and kills Akira and Kalyan. On the other hand, Aru takes Abhi knowing that the way to multi universe is in that village. There someone shoots Arun dead. Why are these murders happening? Is there really a multiverse? What happened after that is the real story.
Analysis;
Some of these short films have a good story and narration. They are trying to give good output even in low budget. Idam Jagat is the secret of the movie that came out like that. This movie was shot entirely in America. Telugu people there produced this movie. In Hollywood, time travel and science fiction movies like Inception, Interstellar.. can be understood as inspiration for writing the story of this movie. The films have been made well within the budget limitations they have. Myths are also used to connect with our audience. They showed examples of mythology like Hanuman moving from one world to another.. Krishna appearing in many places at the same time.. Wham hole formed from Sri Chakra. The movie starts a bit slow. Heroine’s father dying in India..wanting to change the country from there..immediate trip..fights between friends..killing each other..all this went by very quickly. As Abhi’s friends die before the interval, and he goes to Wham Hole to save them, director Komal has created interest in what will happen next. He also took the second half well. Especially the climax is well written. The screenplay written by linking all the first half scenes is good. Unlike a routine movie, you get the feeling of watching a new movie.
Artists:
Rakesh, who acted in many short films, acted as the hero in this film. He’s good as someone who travels into a wham hole. The rest are all new. Sravanti acted very well in it. Aru is perfectly set for the role of a scientist. Bhargav laughs with comedy here and there. Karthik is good as a villain. All of them are settling down in America, they are new faces to our audience as they are theater artists. That is the only minus of this movie. Everyone spoke with an American accent.
Technical Team:
Even though it’s a small film.. but despite the budget limitations, the film is well made. Especially the cinematography is amazing. The best locations in America are available. No background music. Songs are just ok. Need to focus a bit on dubbing. Even though it is a debut movie for the director, he has handled it well. Tried a new story. Even in terms of construction, they have spent a lot of money.
Overall, ‘Rahasyam Idam Jagat’ is a new attempt at science fiction.
