Mumbai beauty Nidhi Agerwal forayed into films with Hindi movie Munna Micheal. That one was a disaster in Bollywood. She then ventured into Tollywood with Sayasachi and also acted in Mr Majnu. Both the films bombed at the box office. Finally, she scored her first hit with iSmart Shankar. We had a chat with her on this happy occasion. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

How are you feeling about success?

I was in Vijayawada on the release day. I got a message in the morning at around 8.30 from director Chandoo Mondeti saying, “Congratulations on the first success.” It takes time for me to digest the fact. I am happy with the terrific response and felt the power of mass films.

How did you get this offer?

I met Puri sir after Mr Majnu. He told me the story and said that I will be doing the scientist’s character. He asked me to do the film as it will be a sure-shot blockbuster. How can I refuse when a top director like Puri sir gives me an offer. I immediately signed the project without any second thought.

How do you take success and failures?

The success and failure of our films will not be in our hands. We all do films trusting in their subjects. I never take failures to the heart. I try to improve my skills and move on to the next project.

What was the experience of working with Ram, Puri and Charmme?

Ram is a sweetheart. He was a really good co-actor. Charmee is superb as a producer. Puri sir is very kind and pure at heart. he treats everyone eqully on the sets. it was a fun experience working on iSmart Shankar.

What are your upcoming projects?

Currently, I am doing a film in Tamil with Jayam Ravi. I haven’t signed any film in Telugu yet. I will announce when I sign my new project.
