‘Skanda’, starring Ram Pothineni, is directed by Boyapati Sreenu. Srinivasaa Silver Screen has produced the action entertainer co-starring Sree Leela, Srikanth, Saiee Manjrekar, ‘Kalakeya’ Prabhakar, Sharath Lohithaswa and others. The film hits the screens this Thursday (September 28).
In a tactical move, the makers have decided to skip screening premiere shows in overseas territories like the US on September 27. This has been done to checkmate fake reviewers who manufacture unfavourable reviews even before watching the movie or even before the movie’s FDFS shows in AP and Telangana.
In other words, the earliest shows of ‘Skanda’ will start simultaneously in India and the US. So, reviews that appear on the web or social media before 10 am on September 28 can’t be trusted as authentic.
The ‘Legend’ and ‘Akhanda’ director has cornered those who spread motivated negative talk before domestic shows are held in the Telugu States.
Through this move, director Boyapati and the makers of ‘Skanda’ have attempted to introduce a new practice in Telugu cinema. This strategy of outwitting agenda-driven individuals on social media will be adopted by other filmmakers in the future.
