Among the movies released this week, the movie that has gained some craze and brought people to the theaters is “Virgin Boys”. There is no doubt that producer Raja Darapuneni’s statements & stage presence have brought some craze to this movie. Let’s see how much this movie, which is targeted at the youth audience, has impressed the audience..!!

Story: Arya (Geethanand), Dundi (Srihan), and Roni (Ronit) are single and yearning for their first experience. They vow to lose their virginity before the new year comes. What hardships did they go through to achieve this? What did they learn in the process? This is the story of “Virgin Boys”.

Actors’ Performance: Except for Ronit, Anshula Dhawan, and Jennifer Emmanuel, none of them could impress with their proper acting. While Ronit’s performance was decent.. Anshula & Jennifer, despite not being Telugu girls, gave good performances. Especially, the lip syncing of those two Telugu dialogues is commendable.

Geethanand was okay in some scenes but.. he excelled in emotional scenes. Srihan’s over-acting was a bit embarrassing. Except for the antics and some dialogues that he thought were comedy, it didn’t work out.

Mitra Shah also embarrassed herself by acting innocent.. and embarrassed the audience too. There is a big difference between natural innocence and pretended innocence. As an actress, Mitra should realize that quickly.

Technical Performance: Smaran’s music is the main asset of the film. The songs are very good. If the way they were shot was also good, it would have given him a good name. However.. it can be said that he has a good future as a music director. All the songs are very pleasant to listen to.

Cinematography work, production design & art work could not give a quality output. Care is still needed in the case of coloring. It is noteworthy that the team did not realize that there will be lighting effects on the product.

Director Dayanand’s work seems to be okay. In this film, which was made with the youth audience as a target, he has inserted plenty of elements that will excite them. However.. his original mark is not visible anywhere. He took great inspiration from condom ads and scenes from some Bengali films 20 years ago. Otherwise, if he had shown his own creativity, he would have created his own mark as a director

Analysis: Adult comedy movies always have a good reception. Because that section of audience count is a bit higher. Movies like “Eeozullo, Busstop” belong to that category. “Virgin Boys” also followed the same format. However.. as the present generation audience is more open, some more bold scenes were added. However.. due to the lack of originality.. although the comedy & glamour were a bit impressive, it could not entertain fully. However.. it must be said that it was able to please the target audience moderately.
