The movie ‘Slum Dog Husband’ starring Sanjay Rao and Pranavi Manukonda. This movie which started as a small movie is going to be released by a big production like Reliance Entertainment. Produced by Mike Movies banner, the film is directed by dashing director Puri Jagannath disciple Dr. AR Sridhar. Produced by Appireddy and Venkat Annapareddy, this film is going to release on July 29. On this occasion, hero Sanjay Rao interacted with the media about the film.
“This story came to me through my father. The director laughed a lot while telling me the story. I liked the concept and I immediately said ok. After O Pitta Katha, I did a web series. It didn’t do much in Telugu but it did well in Hindi. After Katha, I took a gap to prove myself as an actor. I wanted to take a good step and take feedback from everyone. O Pitta Katha played very well in OTT. Not many people know but it achieved the fastest 100 million views in amazon.
Being a dog lover, I enjoyed the shoot without any problem. At first movie seemed challenging. After that I was under a lot of stress. With this, the word challenging has been dropped since then.
We have a rule in our house. Work matters should be discussed outside the house. If we talk about work inside. we have to go beyond the threshold. We have to talk about movies that whole day. But talking again after coming home is a strict No. At home we talk about family and other fun things. My dad doesn’t give inputs. If I go and ask, they will advise. In the lead role itself, different roles are to be played. I want to prove myself as an actor. I am doing a Tamil movie as a villain. Simbu is playing the hero.
In regular movies, the heroine means glamour. But Pranavi’s role in this movie will be full length. She has a very important character. Many people think that there will be double meaning dialogues in this movie. There is no such thing. Generally, boyfriend and girlfriend talk at night. That is the reality. Young generation will connect to this reality.
In this movie Baby (dog) has a Key role and decides the whole movie. I used to see my father as an actor on the sets. Act together as a co-actor. Allu Arjun talked to my father during the shooting of Pushpa. ‘Brahmaji your son’s movie trailer is amazing. I don’t know how the movie will be. The trailer is very good’ said Bunny. Fahaad Faasil also watched the trailer.
I came into the industry because of my father. But I want to work hard like Bunny. I know Bunny’s Journey.
