Story:
Thambi revolves around a brother (Karthi) and sister (Jyothika) who get separated and reunite years later when the brother has grown to be a criminal. What happens when they meet? How did they grow into? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
The way Karthi went under the skin of his character and delivered his best performance is worth appreciating. The actor played an entertaining role in this movie and will impress the audience with his dashing screen presence. Jyothika also is a big strength for this movie. All her scenes came out really well and the actress breathes life into her character. Sathyaraj delivered an honest performance in the movie. Nikhila Vimal looked stunning and will also grab the attention with her performance. Anson Paul and Bala delivered decent performances in the movie. Venu and Mahanadi Shankar acted well. Ilavarasu justified his role.
Technical Aspects:
Director Jeethu Joseph has come up with another interesting storyline for this movie. The director took an interesting plotline and laced it up with so many emotions as well as action sequences. He also succeeded in narrating the story in an engaging way. His pace of narration is too good. Production values by Viacom 18 and Parallel Minds Productions are vibrant and added more strength to the movie. Music by Govind Vasantha is superb. Especially his background score made the movie even more impressive. Cinematographer RD Rajashekar has produced some beautiful visuals for this movie. Editing by VS Vinayak is clean.

Verdict:
The movie has a strong plotline which became the biggest plus point for this film. The entire movie revolves around Karthi and Jyothika who played the roles of brother and sister in this movie and the relationship between them is showcased in a beautiful way. The first half is extremely entertaining and most of the comedy scenes also worked out really well. The interval twist is good. When compared to the first half, the second half is also quite impressive and the director has succeeded in narrating the story in an engaging way. Performances, storyline and gripping narration are the plus points of this film.
