The political thriller Kotabommali PS has begun well at the box office after rave reviews from critics and positive response from audiences. The film directed by Teja Marni, the maker behind the critically acclaimed political drama Johaar and the action thriller Arjuna Phalguna. It stars versatile actor Srikanth Meka, Rahul Vijay, Shivani Rajashekar in key roles. The film is bankrolled by Bunny Vass and Vidya Koppineedi under GA2 pictures. Bhanu Pratapa and Riyaz Chowdary are acting as co producers for the film.

I was a bit scared at first when I was doing the classic film Nayattu in Telugu with a commercial elements. But today I am happy to see the media and audience response. We made the film with utmost conviction and honesty and the audience loving it. Although the morning collections were less, the collections increased with the word of mouth. This is the proof of our film’s success. I can confidently say that I made a good film and people liked it. Teja Marni is a very talented director. He is the reason why every scene is getting claps in theatres. He will grow up to be a good commercial director in future. This film also proved that if Srikanth Annaya plays a socially responsible and impactful character then the film will be a blockbuster.
At the event Srikanth thanked the media for appreciating his film and for comparing his performance to Khadgam and Operation Duryodhana. I have not received so much appreciation for any film in recent times. You need guts to make a film like Kotabommali PS, more so when it’s a remake of an award-winning Nayattu. Producers Bunny Vass and Vidya Koppineedi have the guts. I initially thought it would be very difficult for me to match up to the original but Bunny Vasu gave me the confidence to approach it in my own style. Be it Pellam Oorelithe, Pelli Sandadi or Sarrainodu, Geetha Arts gave me one of the biggest hits in my career. I am happy to have another good success in Geetha Arts organization which has turned my career around. Director Teja Marni extracted performances smartly, he is a fine technician and will make it big.
Director Teja Marni said that it is happy that this movie, which was made with a lot of hard work and everyone’s support, is getting such a good reception today. The producers went to great lengths to take the film to audiences.
