The film ‘Mutton Soup’ is based on a true incident. The teaser and trailer have already raised expectations for the film. What has director Ramachandra Vattikuti shown in this film with a different title? How did he make it? To what extent will this film appeal to the audience? Let’s see.
Story
Sriram (Raman) is in the finance business. He gives money and collects it ruthlessly. This naturally makes him have more enemies. The business he does with his partner causes a lot of problems for Sriram. Sriram falls in love with Satyabhama (Varsha Vishwanath), whom he met through Facebook. On Valentine’s Day, they are in a park, watching Gajagang Dal.. and that’s where they get married. Sriram’s family members don’t like this marriage. After that, Sriram leaves home.
Just when he thinks everything is fine, some people attack Sriram. Acid is poured on his face and burns him completely. Due to this, Sriram is hospitalized. Satya takes care of Sriram with great love and care. Sivaram (Gemini Suresh), a close relative of Sriram, is investigating the attack. How did the attack actually happen? Who did it? He inquires about it. Who attacked Sriram? What is Sriram’s relationship with Krishna? What is the real suspicion of Sriram’s mother? To know these things, you have to go to the theaters.
Recently, there are more crimes in society than in movies, and crimes are being committed in various ways. Thus, the director has taken a case that surprised the society and made this mutton soup film. Director Ramachandra Vattikuti has presented this crime story well on the screen. The twists in such crime stories are very important. However, since this is an incident that happened outside, everyone knows the climax in advance. Even so, it can be said that the director has succeeded in telling interesting stories and making people sit in their seats.
The way the scenes are written in an interesting way will captivate everyone. If there had been more budget, the film would have been on another level. The director has made ‘Mutton Soup’ well based on his resources and financial situations. The story built in the first half, the twist in the second half, and the climax can be said to be the impressive aspects of the film.
Coming to the actors, Raman has impressed in two roles. Compared to the last film, he seems to have improved in terms of acting in this film. The heroine Varsha Vishwanath is good to watch but it seems that she needs to improve more as an actress. Gemini Suresh has acted well in the role of a police officer. Actor Govind has performed well. The rest of the actors including Gopal Maharshi and Kiran Medasani have acted within the scope of their roles.
Bharadwaj, Fanind’s camera work, and Venky Venu’s music are the main strengths of the film. The way the director has presented the crime point in the film, the way he has revealed what really happened with suspense elements, and the screenplay is new. However, if it had been made more engaging, the result would have been different. The fact that the first half is not as gripping as the second half is a minus can be said to be a minus. It would have been better if the editor had used his scissors more. Overall, Mutton Soup is an interesting crime thriller that impresses with its section.
