Audience are increasingly disinterested in routine, formulaic films and are instead embracing movies with distinctive storylines. In this context, Sathish Babu is presenting a unique film titled Jathara. In addition to writing the script and directing, Sathish Babu also stars as the lead in the movie.
Galla Manjunath presents the film, which is produced by Radhakrishna Reddy and Siva Shankar Reddy under Radhakrishnaa Production Company, in association with Movieteck LLC. The promotional campaign has begun with the unveiling of the first look poster. The poster features Sathish Babu in a dramatic and intense portrayal, holding a sword and exuding a sense of menace. His long hair and piercing gaze enhance the fierce and compelling aura of his character. This striking visual aims to capture the audience’s attention and build anticipation for the film, setting the stage for its thematic and narrative elements.
Set in Chittoor’s drought-stricken district, Jathara tells the story of a black stone identified as the goddess Paleti Gangamma, which brings hope to the villagers. They build a temple and hold a grand festival led by landlord Venkatareddy. However, after his death, the situation takes a dramatic turn. The film highlights the enduring power of faith and resilience in overcoming adversity.
Deeya Raj stars as the leading lady, with R.K. Pinnapala, Gopal Reddy, Mahaboob Basha, and Sai Vikranth in supporting roles. K.V. Prasad handles the cinematography, while Sreejith Edavana provides the music. The makers will soon release a first glimpse to further heighten curiosity.
