Jaipur International Film Festival fetes ‘Mangalavaaram’ with awards


“Mangalavaaram” is a technician’s film, said director Ajay Bhupathi and the 4 Awards at Jaipur Film Festival proved it right.

Upon release, ‘Mangalavaaram’ has gained immense applause in theatres & now on OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar.

The rustic thriller loved for its enthralling twists and turns has surprised everyone. The applause on social media even after days of release says it all.

Today, producers Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma of Mudhra Media Works are delighted to share that their movie has bagged awards in four different categories at the Jaipur International Film Festival.

Here are the categories in which the film has won the awards:

1. Best Actress: Payal Rajput.
2. Best Sound Design: Raja Krishnan
3. Best Editing: Gullapalli Madhav Kumar
4. Best Costume Design: Mudasar Mohammad

The recognition is proof that ‘Mangalavaaram’ is one of the most technically and artistically superior products from Telugu cinema in recent times. The film is a complete product with rousing background score and scintillating writing.

Director Ajay Bhupathi has expressed happiness over his third film receiving so much applause from the audience, critics and now the awards circuit. His vision and the intended impact of ‘Mangalavaaram’ have received validation from everyone.
