“Hostel Days has its own nuances that present-day students will relate and look up to,” says Director Aditya Mandala,

After the wide appreciation for the Hindi and Tamil version of Hostel Daze franchise, Prime Video and TVF (The Viral Fever) are all set to bring the much-loved series in Telugu, titled Hostel Days. The recently released trailer has been garnering an overwhelming response from viewers, leading to soaring excitement levels as they prepare for a fun-filled journey to college days, and for many a nostalgic ride down memory lane. Directed by Aditya Mandala, the five-episode series promises a relatable narrative, brimming with emotions, drama, fun, laughter, and invaluable life lessons.

Ahead of its global premiere, the director opened up about this highly-anticipated college caper. “I have seen the original Hostel Daze before and have loved it,” said Aditya and shared light about the inspiration to direct this series, “For me, Hostel Days will be that one gang everyone loves and wants to become like; it will be the trend setter in today’s world of higher education to which present day students will relate and look up to. The friendships, bonds, brotherhood, sisterhood showcased in the series will be relatable to college students. For people like me who have already graduated, this will be a sweet nostalgic trip to the best days of our lives.”

The director also said that the five-part Telugu series is a little different from the Hindi and Tamil chapters. He said, “Though the format of previous Hostel Daze in different languages (Hindi & Tamil) is similar, this time we have given an extra element to the story – we have tried to showcase girls’ point of view and their backstory as well. This is a big pathway for us to explore with the characters, tweak the tonality and the storyline and I am excited to add those different, little flavors to the series.”

Directed by Aditya Mandala and produced by TVF, Hostel Days features a fresh ensemble consisting of Darahas Maturu, Akshay Lagusani, Mouli Tanuj Prasanth, Anannyaa Akulaa, Aishwarya Holakaal, and Jaiyetri Makana in lead roles. Hostel Days will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on July 13, across 240 countries and territories.
