Story:
Sai (Dharma) has no parents. He is very rich and alone. He wanders around with his friends. One day, Bhagi (Aishwarya Sharma) hits him with his scooter. Sai falls in love with the girl. He pursues her. But Bhagi does not like him. Bhagi likes naturopathy. She worships the naturopathy teacher Bhadra (Bhadram) as her guru. She wants to grow up like him after him. But Sai is always smoking cigarettes and drinking. He does not do any work. Because of these qualities in Sai, Bhagi does not like him. But he lies that he loves her, thinking that he will do anything to her. She manages it like that two or three times. But on her birthday, she gets angry at what Sai does. She tells the neighbors that she does not know who he is and denies it. However, he pursues her without paying any attention to them. Later, one of Sai’s friends gets cheated on by his girlfriend (Rithu Chaudhary). He tells him to make sure that you don’t end up in a situation like mine. This starts to make Sai suspicious. He wants to settle his love affair. It happens just as his friend said. Bhagi says he doesn’t want to. This drives him crazy. He becomes more addicted to drinking and starts fighting in college. So how did Bhagi get out of him? What is the twist in Sai’s character? Did Bhagi fall in love? Did he completely let it go? What are the developments in Bhagi’s and Sai’s lives in this sequence? This is the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Films based on real events have been gaining popularity recently. People love realistic movies when they are good. Such stories have been successful since `RX 100`. However, `Drinker Sai` is not such a raw, mass movie, but a classy love story. This movie has also been made with realistic elements. We have seen in many movies in the past, the hero wanders around like a vagabond, the girl is well-educated and systematic. It is common to reject his love, then break up, and love him again after knowing the truth. This is also like that, but with a small twist at the end. That is the emotional point, the USP in this. At the same time, the way in which the topic of how drugs and cigarettes are destroying lives is also added to the love story is good. This story starts with Bhagi giving a good advice to the boys who are addicted to drugs. She tells how Sai came into her life and how their love story started. With this, she goes into a flashback. The scenes at the beginning are fun. Sai.. follows Bhagi.. She manages to say that she loves him even though he doesn’t like her, and uses another friend, Kirrak Seeta, for this, and the scenes are funny. On the other hand, Sai’s friend’s wandering around for the lotus flower is a comedy. The whole first half is a bit routine. Even in that, Bhagi seems surprised to hug and kiss Sai even though he doesn’t like her.
The story picks up speed in the second half. Training with a naturopathic teacher, another young boy coming there, and Sai also coming, once again turns to fun. But the scenes that take place later turn serious. At the end, the twist in the hero’s character takes an emotional turn. The scenes are impressive throughout. The director takes the film to the pre-climax by dancing, singing, and singing, and makes the heart heavy in the climax. These scenes are the lifeblood of the film. This makes you forget everything you have seen from the beginning. The story of the film seems old. But the way it is conducted is new. It seems to follow today’s trend. Although there is a lot of scope for comedy, the scenes are not very ripe. On the other hand, it would have been better if there was more depth and emotions in the love story scenes. Feel is very important in love stories. Those elements seem to have been reduced in this one. Despite these few drawbacks, the climax is what holds the film together. It emotionally moves the audience and sends them away.
Actors:
Dharma did a very good job in the role of Sai. Although he looks like a lover boy, he impresses with his beard in a mass look. It can be said that he has a good future as an actor. He also danced well, and he impressed in arrogant scenes and emotional scenes. Aishwarya Sharma impressed in the role of Bhagi as a cute one. She looks like a small child. But she did well in terms of acting and expressions. Kanchi got into a role that suits him well as the girl’s father. Kirrak Sita got another prominent role. Bhadram Guru impressed him by appearing as a bridge. The rest of the roles seemed okay.
Technicians:
The movie is technically very good. It is rich. The production values are good. The producers made it without compromising. It looks like a big movie in the range. Prashanth Ankireddy’s camera work is beautiful and colorful. It seems that Marthand K Venkatesh did not do his best to his experience. Some scenes had to be cut. Music by Srivasanth was good. The songs reminded me of commercial movies. BGM was also good. Although there are some regular elements in the real story chosen by director Kiran Tirumala, the way he handled it was good. He did a good job in the climax and the ending. He connected the audience emotionally. He succeeded in that. Finally, the message given to drug addicts and smokers through the hero’s character is good. It is natural.
Finally: A new love story that gives a message.
