Allu Sirish’s latest film, “Buddy,” features Gayathri Bharadwaj and Prisha Rajesh Singh as the leading ladies. Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja and Adhana Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green Films banner, and directed by Sam Anton, with Neha Gnanavel Raja as co-producer, “Buddy” is an adventurous action entertainer that recently premiered in theaters and is receiving positive audience feedback. In a recent interview, Director Sam Anton shared his experience working on “Buddy.”

– “Buddy” is receiving a positive response from everywhere. I’m thrilled that both children and adults are enjoying the film. The word of mouth about the movie being a hit began with the morning shows. Our entire team is delighted to have entertained you with ‘Buddy.’ The blend of comedy, emotion, action, and the teddy bear character in ‘Buddy’ is captivating audiences.

– Discussions about “Buddy” began two years ago with our producer, Gnanavel. Although there were initial talks about remaking the Tamil film “Teddy,” we decided to craft “Buddy” with an entirely new story, using only one concept from “Teddy.” That’s how the movie came into being. We approached Allu Sirish, believing a young hero would be perfect for this film. He has been familiar with my work for a long time, and after discussing the story of “Buddy,” he liked it and agreed to start the project.

– Nowadays, audiences seek movies that offer a true theatrical experience. “Buddy” was designed with this in mind. We focused on bringing expressions to the teddy bear character, with impressive CG work to enhance the feel. While the film encompasses action and adventure, at its core, it is a love story between a girl who works in ATC and a pilot.

– Though Rajamouli’s film was referenced for “Buddy,” I assure you that the emotional elements in our movie will resonate as well. Whether dealing with a villain character, a love story, or the teddy bear, we were committed to creating impactful emotions. We aimed to make “Buddy” as engaging as films like “Khaidhi” and “Vikram,” with a highlight being the action sequence in the flight’s climax. The music by Hip Hop Tamizha has been well-received, and Hip Hop Adi is set to star in his next film as a hero.

– I have a great appreciation for Telugu films and watch them regularly. I am planning to make a straight Telugu film in the future. As a director, I am open to working across various genres, whether it be comedy, action, or love stories.
