Disney Plus Hotstar, known for consistently offering fresh content to OTT viewers, is set to release a new web series titled Harikatha – Sambhavami Yuge Yuge. This series will be streamed as part of Hotstar Specials. Produced by TG Vishwaprasad under the banner of People Media Factory, Harikatha is directed by Maggi. The series features a talented cast, including Divi, Pujitha Ponnada, Rajendra Prasad, Sriram, Mounika Reddy, Arjun Ambati, Ruchira Sadineni, Shriya Kottam, Usha Sri, and others in key roles. The Harikatha web series is scheduled to be streamed from December 13th.
Today, the pre-release event for Harikatha was held in Hyderabad, where several team members shared their thoughts. Writer Suresh Jai said, “I am thrilled that the idea which started in my mind a few years ago is now coming to life as the Harikatha series. I am grateful to Director Maggi and People Media Factpry for giving me this opportunity. I wrote this story with Rajendra Prasad in mind, and I believe the series will provide a unique experience for all viewers.”
Executive Producer Shashikaran Narayana expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you to everyone who attended the Harikatha event today. We received the story two years ago and have worked on it with passion and dedication. We had the opportunity to collaborate with a fantastic team on this series. We look forward to showing you the fruits of our labor when Harikatha premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar on the 13th.”
Rajendra Prasad said, “I have been an actor for 48 years in the film industry, and it’s not common to continue as an actor for such a long time. I have worked with many heroes and am still acting with heroes of this generation. As an actor, I feel fortunate to still receive great scripts like Harikatha. After watching this series, people have asked why it wasn’t released in theaters. Today, the movie has come home from the theater. In that case, the content should be strong, and we are presenting such strong content in Harikatha. I would like to thank the writers, director Maggie, People Media, and Hotstar for giving me this opportunity. I am happy to take on a role akin to that of ANR and NTR. In Harikatha, I will be seen as Rangachari, a character who tells Harikathas and chants the name of Hari throughout his life. Actors Sriram, Divi, and everyone else performed excellently. The entire Harikatha team worked with passion, and I am sure you will all love the series.”
Producer TG Vishwaprasad said, “Harikatha is the second web series from our People Media company. Shashi brought this script to us, and since then, she has been pushing this project forward. This script could easily be made into a movie. Harikatha will set a new standard for Telugu web series. I am thrilled that this series is coming to you through Hotstar, and I am confident everyone will enjoy it. We believe it will reach audiences not only in Telugu but in every language.”
