Pawan Kalyan: Bheemla Nayak is about a hard-fought battle between ego and self-respect
Bheemla Nayak, the action entertainer starring Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati in the lead roles, is gearing up for a release on February 25. With screenplay and dialogues by Trivikram, the film is helmed by Saagar K Chandra and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments. There was festive fervour and unmatched excitement at Yousufguda Police Grounds at Hyderabad today, where the grand pre-release event of Bheemla Nayak was held amidst the film’s cast, crew and crowds in the multiples of thousands.
The event struck a chord with audiences for the musical celebration of Bheemla Nayak, where every song from the film was performed live on stage, spearheaded by music director S Thaman. Drummer Shivamani, Padmashri award-winning musician Mogalaiah, Sri Krishna, Durgavva, Arun Koundinya, Sahiti Chaganti, Ram Miriyala set the stage on fire with their fantastic rendition of the title track, Adavi Thalli Maata, Lala Bheemla, Antha Ishtam.
In addition, the event also featured a series of vibrant dance performances that brought in a lot of cheer among crowds. The major highlight of the day was how the drummer Shivamani welcomed Pawan Kalyan, chief guest K T Rama Rao onto the stage and asked them to play the drums. The audiences particularly erupted when a new power-packed release trailer of Bheemla Nayak was launched by KTR.
“Working on an album where the songs are extremely situational and need to enhance the impact of a sequence is not easy at all and the lyric writers, my team of musicians have given it their best for Bheemla Nayak. It’s heartening to see folk musician Mogalaiah garu being honoured with a Padmashri and it speaks of the government’s reverence for artistes. Bheemla Nayak is a mass treat you all will enjoy to the fullest,” composer S Thaman said.
“For a girl coming from a small village in Kerala, an opportunity like Bheemla Nayak is a dream come true. From watching Pawan Kalyan as Siddhartha Roy in Kushi to being awed by Rana’s Bhallaladeva act in Baahubali and sharing screen space with them, I couldn’t have asked for a better film than Bheemla Nayak for my Telugu debut. I feel blessed. Having entered the industry in 2017, this film feels like a rebirth. I cherished every moment working on the film though the true test of our efforts is the reception from audiences. I hope you all enjoy Bheemla Nayak,” actress Samyuktha Menon shared.
“Bheemla Nayak helped me work with the best in the business. I have completed 12 years as an actor, working in multiple languages and it was Pawan Kalyan who made me realise how a hero should look, behave. I may have worked with the biggest stars in the country, but Pawan Kalyan belongs to a different league. He is special. Thanks to his influence, you’ll see a different dimension of the actor in me after Bheemla Nayak. I have learnt a lot from him. This film wouldn’t have happened without Trivikram and producers S Naga Vamsi, Chinna Babu garu. Bheemla Nayak has fine actors Samyuktha Menon, Nithya Menen, Samuthirakani and it was an honour to work with them,” Rana Daggubati added.
“Coming from Nalgonda and working on Bheemla Nayak, sharing the stage with such dignitaries is a surreal moment. I thank my parents, my better half for being my pillars of support. Today, I feel nostalgic about the struggles I had while trying to catch a glimpse of Pawan Kalyan at the audio launch of Panjaa many years ago. I’m here because of all the goodwill I have and a supernatural force that has driven me all along. I’m thankful to my producers S Naga Vamsi, Chinna Babu garu and glad to have had such a fantastic cast and crew for Bheemla Nayak. Trivikram is the backbone of the film and he’s been a teacher figure in my life. Directing Pawan Kalyan is an experience I’ll always hold close to my heart. I haven’t come across a more resilient actor than Rana Daggubati in my career. Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menen, Pammi Sai, Rao Ramesh and Samuthirakani have done justice to their parts wonderfully,” director Saagar K Chandra mentioned.
“I appreciate the patience of all the crowds who’ve stayed through the event. Pawan Kalyan is a man of the masses, who has a cult following and enjoys popularity second to none. I congratulate the entire team, actors, writers and crew who have worked on Bheemla Nayak. I wish the best for Saagar K Chandra, who came from Nalgonda, to make a mark in the industry. We’re doing our best to ensure the upliftment of the industry. I hope Telugu films make use of the surreal backdrop of Kondapochamma Sagar in the times to come,” politician KT Rama Rao said.
“I am thankful to the fans from Telugu states and other parts of the country for gathering in huge numbers today. I truly respect the love you have for me. Cinema has given me everything I have today and it is this love that has made me want to give back to society. I’m grateful to KT Rama Rao (garu), Maganti Gopinath, Danam Nagender and Talasani Srinivas Yadav for accepting our request to attend the pre-release event. The government is doing yeoman’s service in supporting the industry fully.
I wholeheartedly appreciate Saagar K Chandra who left a comfy life in the US and worked hard to establish himself as a filmmaker. I congratulate Thaman for tapping such wonderful artistes from the Telugu states for the album. The film is a battle between ego and self-respect, a conflict between a police officer and a man with a political background. Bheemla Nayak has been wonderfully adapted into Telugu by Trivikram. All my co-stars Samyuktha Menon, Nithya Menen, Rana Daggubati, the crew comprising cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, art director AS Prakash, have done a commendable job. As an actor, I’ve done my bit too, Bheemla Nayak is all yours now,” Pawan Kalyan stated.
“Bheemla Nayak is a film that every Pawan Kalyan fan would be proud of. It’s an out and out mass entertainer and it’s going to be a blast at the theatres,” the producer S Naga Vamsi shared.
Lyricists Kasarla Shyam, Ramajogaiah Sastry, dance master Ganesh, cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, fight master Vijay expressed their happiness on being part of Bheemla Nayak. Politicians Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Maganti Gopinath and Danam Nagender wished the best for the film’s team. Pawan Kalyan’s touching gesture of honouring the entire crew that worked on Bheemla Nayak was appreciated by one and all.
