Produced by Udugu Sudhakar under the banner of SV Creations and directed by Ismail Sheikh, SS Saidulu is the hero, Bhramarambika and Arpita Lohi are the heroines, M.L. The movie ‘1980 Lo Radhekrishna’ was directed by Raja Music. This movie was released today in Telugu and Banjara languages. The teaser, trailer and songs of this movie have already impressed the audience. And how is the movie? To know that, let’s go into the story first..
Story: Vamsi goes with his family to his native village Krishnalanka for a Jathara. Karsamu competitions are held there. Vamsi’s son Radha asks their father about Karrasamu. He says that there is no one who can defeat Krishna (SS Saidulu) in karrasamu competition in their village. This story begins in 1980 when he started telling about that Krishna. Krishna (SS Saidulu) and Vamsi are two good friends. Even though Vamsi is of higher caste and Krishna is of lower caste, they are good friends in college without any feeling between them. Vamsi’s grandfather Raghavaiah is the sarpanch of that village. He has a lot of passion. His daughter Radha (Bhrarambika) joins the college where Vamsi studies. Radha falls in love with Krishna there. From there the real story starts. Did Radha-Krishna’s love bear fruit? Or caste discrimination in that village sacrificed their love? What did the Maoists do in the middle of the love story? To know the answer to such questions, you have to watch the movie.
Analysis:
The film is set in a rural setting. Due to the differences between the castes in the villages, the lovers faced many difficulties. Director Sheikh Ismail has made this film in the background of how to bring change in every human being without this caste madness. In the past, many films have been released in the rural setting and received good hits. In that context, this film also conveys a beautiful love story, but also gives a good message about the elimination of caste discrimination and the elimination of honor killings. What is caste beyond humanity? The dialogue is thought provoking. First half goes smoothly with love story. And the second half will be very interesting. On one side, the Maoists are in the forest, on the other side, the police are chasing them. A struggle of lovers to preserve the pure love between the two. Overall, it can be said that this movie gives a new experience to the audience.
In a village called Krishnalanka, the youths who studied their degrees turned into Maoists to face the injustices and anarchies in the society. The director makes the audience think with his screenplay saying that their intention is good but the path they have chosen is not right. Hero Krishna has shown very well how he followed his father’s ideals and went for the eradication of caste. It is nice to end the story by showing a change in the upper castes with one incident.
Technical Analysis:
Technically this movie is very good. Director Sheikh Ismail succeeds in making his chosen point without any hesitation. The dialogues written by M. Rajesh, Charan, Khammam Babu, Gnyaneshwar and Y Upender took the movie to another level. The music given by ML Raja also helped the story a lot. All the songs are very good. As he wrote the lyrics and composed the tune himself, all the songs came together well. Turupu Ravikiranam song is emotional. Producer Oodugu Sudhakar has produced this movie well without any compromise.
Cast Analysis:
SS Saidulu who played the hero impressed with his good acting. He portrayed all variations as an innocent, a lover, a fighter. He also gave the best performance, playing the role of Vamsi as the hero’s friend. The heroines Bhrarambika and Arpita Lohi also did justice to their roles. As the role of Bharrambika is longer, she has more scope to showcase her performance. Bhrarambika impressed with her acting and beauty. The rest of the actors also acted to the extent of their roles.
PunchLine;Finally.. Radhekrishna in 1980 is the fight to eliminate caste discrimination.
